These top four liveaboards for couples and honeymooners not only offer fantastic diving, but also a chance to connect — or reconnect — with your partner.

Those looking for a romantic dive trip have plenty of luxurious liveaboards and remote white-sand destinations to choose from. If you’re looking to connect — or reconnect — with your partner, what better way than underwater? With that in mind, here are our top four liveaboards for couples and honeymooners.

Scubaspa Maldives

Nothing says honeymoon like the deserted white-sand beaches and crystalline waters of the Maldives. Luxury yacht company Scubaspa Maldives offers spa treatments, six full-time spa therapists, and fine dining. This liveaboard has year-round dive safaris to the central atolls of the Maldives, where divers can see whale sharks and manta rays in season. Divers and non-divers alike can indulge in spa packages, morning yoga, kayaking and exploring remote beaches. The Scubaspa Ying has its own dive boat, which accompanies the yacht and serves as the floating dive center.

Aqua Tiki II, Polynesia

Polynesia is a South Pacific paradise of around 188 islands, only half of which are inhabited. The rest are an untouched archipelago of volcanic islands with stunning landscapes and pristine atoll diving. Divers can expect to see big pelagics, such as blacktip and silvertip sharks, silky sharks, manta rays, and dolphins. The Aqua Tiki II catamaran is ideal for couples looking for an intimate dive safari exploring the atolls, enjoying peaceful beach walks, and sailing the seas. This liveaboard caters for just eight guests in four en-suite cabins and has a cocktail bar, library and trampolines.

Galapagos Sky

Find one of the more adventurous liveaboards, with marine life found you’ll see nowhere else on earth, in the Galapagos Islands. The islands are perfect for nature-lovers and the best dive sites are only accessible by liveaboard diving. Divers can see Galapagos sharks, marine iguanas, penguins, scalloped hammerheads and manta rays, to name but a few of the species present. It isn’t just about the wildlife though; you’ll cruise in comfort on the Galapagos Sky,  a luxury liveaboard for up to 16 guests. It has cabins with en-suite bathrooms, camera rentals, a luxurious lounge, and warm towels after every dive.

Philippines Solitude One

You can never hope to visit all of the 7,000 islands that make up the Philippines, but you can get a good start on the Philippines Solitude One. Dive sites include coral reefs, wreck dives and muck diving sites. Divers can expect to see a variety of life, including tiny muck critters, mandarinfish, whale sharks and the elusive thresher shark in Malapascua. The Tubbataha Reefs National Marine Park is a highlight for coral, sea turtles and even dugongs. The Solitude One is ideal for days of exceptional diving followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub at night. Dive groups are small on this vessel to allow for intimate dives without the crowds. Finally, the onboard digital camera studio confirms that you captured those honeymoon photos.
