Nonprofit organization Dive into the Pink will be holding its fourth annual online auction to benefit the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), an international organization dedicated to the critical issues of young women with breast cancer, and the Guise Laboratory at Indiana University, who are investigating whether certain characteristics of the bone marrow microenvironment can alter/promote the spread of cancer to the bone.
Items up for bidding include exotic liveaboard and land-based dive trips, top-of-the-line dive and underwater photography gear, as well as ocean-themed books, jewelry, artwork and apparel. Bidding opened on October 18, 2019 at 5:00 pm PDT and will remain open until 5:00 pm PDT on October 27, 2019. View auction items and sign up to bid at 32auctions.com/divepink2019.
The auction kicks off a series of fundraising dive events based in Southern California.
Dive into the Pink was founded in 2016 by Allison Vitsky Sallmon, a breast cancer survivor, veteran scuba diver, and underwater photographer, who wanted to raise money to fight cancer by mobilizing the scuba community through dive charters and dive-related activities. Dive into the Pink is a salary-free 501c3 nonprofit organization, and 100% of our proceeds are redistributed. In 2018, we raised and distributed nearly $40,000 for the fight against cancer.
