True’s Beaked Whale Caught on Film

An extremely rare whale species – the True’s beaked whale – was caught on film in the Azores.

People rare see a True’s beaked whale, much less catch one on film. These whales spend most of their lives in very deep water. But some lucky students in the Azores got this brief clip.

When we know massive animals live in the ocean that we rarely ever see, it kind of makes you wonder what could be out there that we have never seen before at all.

While you ponder that possibility, enjoy the video and check out this study about the same rare whales.
