GoPro HERO5: First Look from Backscatter

Backscatter test pilot Patrick Webster used the GoPro HERO5 Black to record a cormorant capturing a fish and other great underwater scenes in Monterey Bay. The new image stabilization helps make camera moves rock solid.

The team at Backscatter has put the new GoPro HERO5 through its paces, exploring all the menus and taking it on a series of test dives. Check out the video above, as well as the rest on their page to see how it performed.

Backscatter evaluated a number of HERO5 features, from RAW and WDR photo modes to image stabilization, one-press quickcapture mode and exposure lock for use topside. Overall the camera came out on top — read what Backscatter had to say here.
