Bertie goes on board with one of the last remaining true ‘Sea Gypsy’ families of Borneo to learn how their lives are changing, before documenting a Bajau Laut man with incredible spearfishing skills.

The Bajau Laut are a nomadic, seafaring group who have lived in the waters of the Coral Triangle for centuries. Traditionally they spent their entire lives on the ocean, rarely setting foot on land. In Episode 16, Bertie goes on board with one of the last remaining true ‘Sea Gypsy’ families of Borneo to learn how their lives are changing, before documenting a Bajau Laut man with incredible spearfishing skills.
