Rolling in the Deep – Komodo – Wide

The 'Rolling in the Deep' series continues with a look at the reefs of Komodo Indonesia.

by Dustin Adamson

The waters can be crystal clear blue to even and green color in and around the Komodo island destination. Using a 15mm fisheye lens with a full frame Canon 5d Mark II, I was able to capture some beautiful scenery. Some of the reefs here are as pristine as I have even seen. Others, were riddled with coral rubble caused from dynamite fishing. You will take notice of this destruction in some of the scenes of Manta Rays. Despite the beauty of these animals, it is hard to see this kind of devastation on a once beautiful coral reel.
