Oceanic Nurseries documents the process for creating Marine Sanctuaries in Canada. Currently the marine protected area strategy is completely stalled after several years of stakeholder consultation. Shot over the course of 8 years this documentary contrasts Australia’s success to Canada’s failure in creating sanctuaries. Canada has the longest coastline of any country in the world and less than .5% is fully protected.
