Seahorse Attacked by Flounder

By Scubazoo Editor

Scubazoo are South East Asia’s leading underwater filming and photography company. Based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo, their cameramen have filmed for landmark productions such as BBC's Life in Cold Blood, LIFE and Human Planet. Scubazoo have also built up a large and diverse stock library of video footage and photos as well as publishing several underwater coffee table books including 'Reef' and their latest: 'Maldives - The Underwater Kingdom'.

For me Lembeh Strait is without doubt the benchmark for macro diving. Anywhere I dive looking for small stuff I inevitably end up drawing comparisons to that amazing black sand muck diving in North Sulawesi.

More often than not there is no comparison and the biggest reason for me is simply the density of marine life in Lembeh. For a cameraman it's a dream come true as it's relatively easy to film interactions between creatures.

Follow an animal around for long enough and something is going to happen! This video is a classic example of that theory in action. On a trip to Eco Divers in Lembeh I followed this pretty seahorse around in the shallows for a good half an hour and then WHAM! Enjoy :)
