In August 2011 we ventured off to Cozumel, Mexico to meet up with Dive Cooperative on our planned "Dream Extreme" scuba trip.

The entire trip started because I was writing an article about Whale Sharks in Holbox, Mecxico. I could not believe that there were hundreds of Whale Sharks in a relatively small area, I just had to experience it. Through the Scuba Diver Life Facebook page I met Maria from Dive Cooperative, I started talking to her about  where in Mexico the Whale Sharks would be, not just one or two, but hundreds of them. We did find out that this year the Whale Sharks were closer to Cancun than Holbox.  After a few weeks of back and forth email, the trip had been planned: Cozumel, Cenotes, The Cancun Underwater Museum and then a Whale Shark tour.

The trip over to Cozumel went relatively fast, and we were delighted that Maria and her team met us at the fairy terminal in Cozumel. We went directly to their dive shop and went over all the different dive sites that Cozumel had to offer.

This first video below, showcases the first day of diving we did on our "Dream Extreme" trip. We ended up diving Palancar Reef  & Cedral Pass.  Palancar is a coral reef, which is apart of the Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park & Cedral Pass offered us some amazing drift diving!

Here are some photo highlights from the trip - You can see the entire album here on our Facbeook Page.

Thanks for watching & reading!!
